Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce a new technique to construct infinitely

many positive solutions for some elliptic problems without the Palais-Smale

condition. I will concentrate in particular the prescribed scalar curvature

problem and the Lin-Ni's conjecture for an elliptic Neumann problem.
