Abstract: This series of lectures will be devoted to the low mach number limit for non-isentropic flows. We will present recent results in the isentropic case and present the difficulties (crossing eigenvalues, singular ODEs) to extend results to non-isentropic systems in the periodic case. We will also mention results obtained in the whole space by G. Metivier and S. Schochet (extended to the exterior domain by T. Alazard).
